3 woodstock vinyl 3 record set from coillition records…how much are they worth?

I’ve looked on ebay and the one’s I’ve seen are pretty cheap between 15-40 dollars. However the one thing all 3 of his has that none of the others do is a gold sticker in the upper left corner on the front of the cover. I saw an auction online for the white label ones and they were selling for $150. Are his different then those on ebay with no sticker or are they the same? If they are different aside from an appraiser is there a good online resource where I may be able to find out their value?

Where can I buy vinyl albums for cheap online? (or not cheap)?

I’m trying to find a good place to buy records by my favorite artists, since I have almost no income the cheaper the better. Artists I’m looking for include:

The Beatles
The Rolling Stones
Pink Floyd
Queen

Any help would be appreciated!

CD’s vs. Vinyl records?

I’ve always wondered why some people prefer vinyl over CD’s.
Is it to be more authentic? Or to save money? Or just to keep as a collection?

I know they sound better and are cheaper, but it is still so much easier to buy CD’s. You can put CD’s on your ipod and take your whole collection with you. With vinyls, you can’t listen to them outside your house, and vinyl players are harder to come by.

Are “music store” chains a thing of the past now?

The three biggest music chains in my city were Tower Records, Wherehouse Music, and Virgin Megastore.

None of the three exist today. I’m guessing internet downloading (both legal & illegal), and piracy bootlegging is what did these stores in.

However, the small, quirky, and “hip” music stores that sell independent music and hard-to-find hits on vinyl, CD, etc. still exist. Is this the future of music stores? Just the small independent stores?

Also, will video rental stores be a thing of the past too? I notice many Hollywood Video stores have been closing down. And Blockbuster seems to be heading in that direction although they seem to be trying to stave it off. I’m guessing downloading (illegal & legal) is killing them too. Besides, when I want to rent a movie I have the PS3 for downloading and can rent it for like 3 bucks or less, which I believe is cheaper and more convenient.

I can tell Blockbuster is struggling because the stores aren’t as up kept anymore. Fading paint, bulbs in the light-up sign not working, trash on the premises, unclean windows etc.

Turntable and home stereo question?

My cheap turntable just died, so I’m looking for a new one. I want to get the best sound quality for a reasonable price. (I don’t have audiophile-type money to spend, I’m hoping to get a nice used turntable for under $300). What should I look for? Is the cartridge most important? Also, I live in a tiny one-bedroom apt. I have a newer Sony 5.1 Surround receiver for all my home audio components, but I don’t know if that’s the best choice for my record player. Are there ways I tweak this to sound better for my stereo vinyl (possibly replacing the front stereo speakers with nicer ones)? Or should I just spring for a separate vacuum tube amp and higher-end speakers? Thanks!

what are the best “cheap” vinyl scratchers? like the ones dj’s use. i guess their called turntables, but small.

what are those things called that you put 12″ records on and you can put your fingers on them and make the person on the track like keep repeating as long as your moving your hand on it? i need a small one that’s affordable and can play 12″ vinyls. thanks! sorry if my explanantion is a little off, it’s kinda hard to explain. lol

your thought about autobeatmatching?

I’m hearing some funky sound from a live show on the radio of a music festival, this DJ is mixing 2 many stuff to just use 2 turntables. I’m guessing he’s using ableton live.

Pro DJ’sj use ableton + 1 or 2 turntables?
Your thought about autobeatmatching?
They say you have more control over your record. I’m guessing that in a sense you do. But what’s wrong with beatlocking? You can mix 4 tracks with ease. It’s cheaper then vinyl and CD’s.
woeps…..

Are “ALL” DVD recorders also always able to record on CD’s?

i need to get a stand alone cd recorder to make some cd’s from some old vinyl. i found a cheap dvd recorder, but i can’t seem to find in the specs if it will record on cd. CD recorders (stand alone versions) aren’t as easy to find, nor are they as cheap. If this DVD recorder will work, it would be great in many ways!

About to make a major decision..need your help bad!!?

Ok..today I went to look at a 2006 Mercedes c-230 (individual seller who was moving back to India) fully loaded…30k miles..I talked them down from $20,500..to $19,800.

Conditions: Will need new tires for the front..in the near future.
A visible small dent on the passenger side, a tiny lil crack in the window..scratches..but nothing bad…two of the rims are scoffed around the edges (looks like someone was hitting the curb)….leather/vinyl seats were dirty..the back seats and mats were ok..the trunk was full of construction tools. He said that they were hauling tools to a construction site in it. I have already pull the carfax (it was good)..I saw one of the service records. I know this is pretty cheap and I don’t wanna mess up a good deal. DO you think my expectations are too high? I know I wasn’t expecting a brand new car..but I didn’t expect to see what I saw either.
OH WOW! THAT WAS FAST! THANK YOU GUYS FOR ALL THE ANSWERS!

About how much would a record player cost?

Because I just got Please Please Me, the vinyl record, and my mom says that we have a really old record player, or turn tables or sumthin, in our basement, but it might not work anymore… So if it doesn’t work, I still want a record player to listen to the vinyl. It’s awesome!
So about how much would one cost? Like, the cheapest I can get one, or the average amount.

I mean just at any store really… Not a specific store that’s probably not in my area. I mean like, at chain places.
