Are old, vinyl albums worth anything?

A friend of mine is cleaning house and has over a hundred old vinyl records and is going to throw them out. I was wondering if there is something better he can do with them – like sell them or give them to someone. Any ideas? Or is dumping them the best course of action? Thanks.

We are starting to collect vinyl records, how do we take care of them to keep them in awesome shape??

do we use oil or special rags and how do you clean a record, please help… thanks

Help!, I can’t get my vinly records clean! 10 points!?

I have a big vinyl record collection, and I was going trough them and I noticed there were some white marks and splodges on them, so I got out my kit, sprayed some real expensive cleaning fluid on them and tried carefully to wipe it off, and it still had the white marks and blobs on them, so I put some more fluid on and used my vinyl brush instead, and it still has them!

The records still work fine, they just have these white blobs and marks on them, what are they?, and how do I get rid of them?

Does anyone know how to clean a file (from a vinyl), but avoid the voice & music sound metallic after?

I have several programs that I clean my songs I record from vinyls, but all of them, leave the voice and music…like helium, or metallic…Any suggestions what to do, or any programs that remove pops, scratches, noises, but don’t leave voices and music like that (metallic or hellium)
