You remember those cool ass disco songs? I think those songs were popular in the earlier 90′s…. I remember hearing the older vatos
listening to the songs such asss “Something Music….Slick Dj…. & lazer rays” “Can you hear the beat”
I actually remember that 3 years ago, my homeboy went to LA
and brought back a Cd which was very special to him because it was burned from the ORIGINAL VINYL RECORD.
Now that I think about it, those songs are probably from the 70′s
or 80′s. I love the songs. I still have a cd that I burned but dont have any info on the artists.

I am looking for a VINYL/RECORD player as a gift for Christmas?

I don’t know any good brand names that sell this sort of thing and I’m not looking for a DJ type of record player. I just want a nice perhaps wooden, vintage-y sort of vinyl player. I’m looking to get it for my boyfriend with some of his favorite bands on record. I am looking on Amazon but the reviews of the items have mixed responses and I don’t know what’s good to choose. I don’t want to end up ordering a cheap piece of crap! So any good name brands or links, etc. would be awesome! Thanks so much!

Do I really need an Audio Interface for my studio?

I make dance/electronic music. I don’t really ever record vocals, live instruments, or anything like that really – just sample vinyl sometimes. I’ve got some rockit rp8 monitors which are pretty nice and they’re plugged into my DJ mixer which my laptop is plugged into. Audio Interfaces look useful for artists who record often but most of my music comes from the laptop. Is there a point in buying an interface?

how do u use a DJ turntable?

i dont get how to do all this DJ turntable stuff. for example for using records instead of CDs, does that mean records cant play recent songs since they are from long ago, or can u put cds in a slot and use the records to play them?? and when u buy separate parts, can u put them together to create a whole turntable, or they wont fit? wats vinyl?? lol sry but i wanna be a dj but im so confused. HELP

Record Stores in Rhode Island?

Hi I was wondering if anyone knows of any good stores that sell Vinyl in Rhode Island. I’m getting into DJ’ing and I need a solid place to go to dig for records. I’ve looked through the YellowPages but an opinion from someone here would be great. Any info on a place in Rhode Island or even in Boston would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Turntable v. Record Player?

I was wondering what the difference is between a record player and a turntable.
Can you play records on both? You see on urbanoutfitters i was debating on whether to buy this Crosley AV Room Portable USB Turntable. because i recently was interested in old 80′s music and i thought it would be neat to play them on vinyl.
Does this product play records or is it just to be like a DJ.. and what is the USB for(sorry not so good with technology) so if any one could please help me out and explain this to where i could understand that would be great! thanks in advance

Hi, if i want to start DJing, mainly to be a record producer and do some old school stuff like Jam Master Jay (from RUN DMC) or Dj. Dre (World class wreckin crew) is it easier to learn on CD decks or Vinyl and what are the advantages and disadvantages of both? Thanks

What kind of Job can I get with my bad driving record?

I am 22. I have a family to support (wife + 1 yr old).
I was making $28/hr in Heavy Construction but it is very slow.
I can’t wait for it to pick up…I’ve been waiting since March 2009.
I am thinking of a career change…Any Suggestions???

I need benefits, at least $15/hr to start. I can work overtime. In the SD/OC/LA/IE areas.
I have a GED. I have 1 yr exp. in concession. 1 yr. exp in data entry.
4-5 yrs exp in Heavy Construction.
My random hobbies/skills: airbrush art, Dj with vinyl.
I can drive trailers and forklifts and such (and am licensed to do so by my Union)
…but I have 5 points on my license for speeding =/ on my own car.

Please if anyone knows anything, I’d appreciate any suggestions.
