What speed can I play a 10 inch vinyl record at?
I’m looking to but a record player but want something that will play 10 inch records. I’ve heard mixed things about what speed I need to be able to play 10 inches…
12 inch is 33rpm, 7 inch is 45rpm and 10 inch is 78rpm? Is this correct?
And if so, why does a 10 inch rotate faster than a 7 inch? Shouldn’t it play somewhere in between 33 and 45?
Another question, what records can I play at 16rpm?
This might seem like a stupid question to some, but there really is very little information on the ins and outs of record players on the internet, so I’m learning slowly from whoever will give me advice!
Thank you (:

Did I ruin my vinyl record and/or needle?
I was listening to a record today, and I was cleaning it with Discwasher, and I accidentally put too much on near the back of the brush and my record was wet. I tried to get most of it off, but some got left on it, and when I was listening to it, it sounded completely messed up, and my needle had stuff on it when I stopped the record. I was wondering if I just ruined that record and my needle, or if this can be fixed.
The Discwasher that was left on it dried, and I was wondering if I could get that off.

What are the chances of vinyl records replacing CDs, MP3s, digital downloads, and other digital formats?
I heard on the news that vinyl was the most popular format of 2010. Are vinyl records going to become the dominant format? Are we returning to the analog technology of the past?
