Analog Sound vs. Digital Sound?
Ok firstly what are the positives and negatives about the two? When people use the term “analogue warmth” does this simply mean the crackling sounds of vinyl?. The term “digital sounds flat ” when compared to a analogue recording, what do they mean by flat? Was the cassette recorded in analogue? I`ve heard that some audiophiles will not purchase CD`s! and will only stick to vinyl. I know we live in a world where digital is king but thinking back to some of my dad`s roots reggae LP`s and how the sound was richer, heavier and in some strange way “warmer” as oppose to the digital CD! which sounded good but seemed less soulful if you understand what i mean. What is meant by crystal clear sound from CD and something about high pitch meeting pitch for pitch?
The “richer, fuller and warmer sound people claim to experience when listing to vinyl could it be achieved from Digital audio?
Comprehensive answers to these questions would be appreciated
