Vinyl Record Clock

do you think that this is a good and original idea for a tattoo or is it to literal ?

i got my 1 st tattoo like 3 weeks ago

im thinking about the ideas for the next one
music is a big part of my life i joined a musical theater i did some recording in the past etc… so this is what i have on my mind im thinking about like a phonograph or gramophone whatever its called ( the thing that plays those big vinyl discs ) some broken/worn down clocks , music notes/sheets and like tree roots or rose thorns wrapping around that phonograph/gramophone
symbolizing that music is timeless
and somehow get this quote there:
non c’è inizio né fine, existe solo l’infinita passione per la vita.
its Italian for :
There is no end. There is no beginning. There is only the infinite passion of life

and another thing is a Ganesh/ the Indian elephant god its a good luck symbol and its a god of success

the tattoo that i have covers my whole left foot and goes all the way up to my knee ( its covers the whole outside of my left calve muscle)

do you think that the 1st idea is kinda different and original or is it too symbolic

oh no the ganesh is just an another separate idea that i have its not connected to the phonograph that would just look odd

i kinda have a limited space on my body as i have skin condition my my arms so i cant get anything from the elbow up to shoulder blades
i went to the derm doctor and i got some medication but its not helpful

well yea everyone has a different taste i cant stand tribal ,star and butterfly tattoos
yea like some people do they go to tattoo shop without an idea of what they want and then they just pick some flash of the wall
well the gramophone would have to be quite big so the details can be see so im thinking on my ribs ( ouch that will hurt ) or on the lower part of my back
or if i can cure my f.cking arms then i would somehow sleeve it

***ideas for one year?

my one year with my boyfriend is coming up.. march 5.. and ihave NO idea what to get or do for him.. he’s 18

for 6 months i got him a personalized dallas mavs jersey..
for christmas i got him killer’s vinyl records.. and for valentines day i got him a clock with our pic as the background.. lol

i usually have some good idea that just pops into my head but this time i have NOTHING and he’s already bought me a couple things..
we met on myspace lol.. went to the same church at one point in time and he remembered me

I need good examples of retro items?

for my gcse art project i am concentrating on retro things and like things from the 50′s, 60′s etc. for this homework, i am doing a composition of items to do with my chosen theme. so far i have a retro phone and alarm clock, and im using a vinyl record and lava lamp. any other ideas?

I am wanting to paint vinyl records, where should I start?

I am wanting to make homemade vinyl record clocks but im not sure what kind of paint to use on the vinyl surface. I am wanting to coat the whole thing as well as paint numbers on them.
