Decent record player help?
I’m a teenage girl who’s always been into really mainstream stuff, especially music. But recently I’ve found some indie and alternative music and I LOVE it. The smiths are absolutely amazing, and so are modest mouse, cold war kids, she and him, and a lot of other bands like that. So I think I would love to hear this stuff on vinyl. Where can I get a decent record player, and how much do they cost? Also, is it a little strange that a teenage girl is into stuff like that?

Are vinyl records making a comeback?
I hope so because I bought my first record player yesterday and it sounds a hell of a lot better on Vinyl then MP3 plus I find I appreciate the music more when I buy it vs free downloading because free downloading you can download anything and most of the songs you dont even listen too plus it supports bad singers like Justin.

Does Audacity take out pops and noise from Vinyl, and from some cassette players?
I have a Mac (Snow Leopard) and I’m kinda leary about downloading – will I need other equipment besides a record player & cassette player? And will I be able to burn CDs of my cassettes and vinyl? Thanks

How do you properly maintain vinyl records?
I have one vinyl record, which I won in a contest for my favorite band. I was soo happy when I won, because I rarely win anything lol and I don’t even own a record player (womp). I’m saving up to buy one though, and my parents think it’s stupid that I’m into record players, and vinyl and what-not (I’m only 15)…
I want to start collecting more vinyl records.. How can I take care of them so they will last a long time?

I want to get into Vinyl, does anyone know of any good record players?
I don’t want to search eBay for an older version, and I don’t want a new one that is crap. I’m not looking to spend more than 2 hundred dollars. The less the better. I would use it strictly for easy listening. If anyone has a good experience to share with the newer versions I would appreciate it

I do too. I got creative and married the long-play vinyl record with the portability of the iPod to create these vinyl videos. This one was filmed in Bowling Green, KY during a roadtrip to Chicago (see Vinyl Video #08). Sadly, the audio was rejected, so here is a lovely teaser version. Watch the full video at www.TheDailyVinyl.com. FYI — many people have asked if I the audio is recorded at the same time. And no… no it’s not. Too much to try & coordinate at the same time. I’d rather have the best audio recording I can get and sync it up to the video. But it truly is the vinyl audio source you here.
