Bedroom(teenage girl) ideas?

I’m not looking at a complete overhaul or anything just a couple accents to go with it.
I have 2 woodstock posters, 1 vintage anti-nuke poster(framed), 2 pkgs of vintage anti-nuke postage framed, a vintage lamp with a small sun on the…uh..stem?, my own art on canvases(I use muted tones and watercolour or vibrant tones and grotesque imagery), my bedspread is floral and my pillows are paisley, I have a TV on an old vintage school desk with a handmade floral table cloth, an easel, a wooden trunk, a wooden captains bed, a vinyl beanbag chair, 2 wooden bookcases, a record player, floral speakers and a wooden night-stand.
My walls are light purple with dark purple edging(that I hate, I was 11 when I picked it), the carpet is grey, and all my furniture is vintage or handmade wooden stuff(with the exception of my easel).
I want ideas for little details to add? Also I’d like to know where to find Rocky Horror Picture Show decorations/furniture?
Oh! I forgot I have a massive Pink Floyd’s The Wall poster.

Tracking down information on a decades-old country music compilation, probably from Columbia Records…?

I remember listening to songs from a two-tape set in the mid- to late-70s, and while I clearly remember some of the songs and artists, it might be interesting to learn which others were there that I didn’t listen to much or just don’t remember.

It was probably a Columbia compilation. The two tapes were red and there was a logo–either a “C” or a target–on the front of each one. There was enough music on them to imply that the vinyl release would have been a four-record set.

I’ve been thinking about these because a political parody of “Big Bad John” as applied to John McCain has been mentioned in the news, and the Jimmy Dean version was on one of the tapes.

Other songs were “A Boy Named Sue” by Johnny Cash, “Delta Dawn” by Tanya Tucker, “Stand by Your Man” by Tammy Wynette, “Rose Garden” by Lynn Anderson, “Flowers on the Wall” by the Statler Brothers, “Almost Persuaded” by George Jones, “Baby, Don’t Get Hooked on Me,” by Mac Davis, “Foggy Mountain Breakdown” by Flatt & Scruggs…..?

history project on the sixties. help please?

hi.. i am making a diarama sort of thing for my social studies project.. it has to be something really creative..and we have to use objects that represent 5 social, 5 economic, and 5 political aspects of the decade. so far i have made a record player with a vinyl of the doors in it.. but i dont know where to go from there because i cant represent economic aspects in a record player, you know? my friend made a mini closet and put posters on the wall and stuff..i thought of making a floor set up, putting the record player on it, and putting like newspaper clippings and stuff, but idk if it would be too much.. so please, if anyone has any ideas.. HELP!!

american culture in these lyrics?

i need to find where it has american culture in thees lyrics,
and then describe how it’s american culture.
please help!

last of the american girls
-green day

She puts her makeup on like graffiti on the walls of the heartland
She’s got her little book of conspiracies right in her hand
She is paranoid like endangered species headed into extinction
She is one of a kind, well, she’s the last of the American girls

She wears her overcoat for the coming of the nuclear winter
She is riding her bike like a fugitive of critical mass
She’s on a hunger strike for the ones who won’t make it for dinner
She makes enough to survive for a holiday of the working class

She’s a runaway of the establishment incorporated
She won’t cooperate, well, she’s the last of the American girls

She plays her vinyl records singing songs on the eve of destruction
She’s a sucker for all the criminals breaking the laws
She will come in first for the end of Western civilization
She’s an endless war, she’s a hero for the lost cause

Like a hurricane in the heart of the devastation
She’s a natural disaster, she’s the last of the American girls

She puts her makeup on like graffiti on the walls of the heartland
She’s got her little book of conspiracies right in her hand
She will come in first for the end of Western civilization
She’s a natural disaster, she’s the last of the American girls
Aw yeah, all right, aw yeah
and you sound like an idiot
just saying..
i want to know what the american culture would be in the song..
not what you think if the girl is a whore
anyone else want to help please

How to give my apartment my own little edge?

I want to make my apartment a little quirky.
I collect vinyl records and CD albums, I have 7 bookcases full, I was going to put them in the study room.
I also collect clocks, I was going to put loads on the wall in the kitchen.
Also, would this look OK in my room?

My and I collect small bird houses, should we put up a ledge that borders the whole room just below the ceiling and put them all there? in our bedroom that is.

We also have huge posters like this to put arounds:

Any other ideas on how to make my house look real quirky and have a cute little edge, and are these too much?
***My Boyfriend and I

sorry, typo

Remove permanent marker from cardboard?

Is there anyway to do this. I bought just a vinyl record cover yesterday, of the Rolling Stones, and I want to hang it up on my wall, but I’d like to get this one long mark with permanent marker off of the cover before I do. It’s a rather old record, from 1964, and the album wasn’t in the sleeve, but I wanted it just to hang it up, and it was only 50 cents, so if I can’t it’s not a big loss of money, I just want to know if there’s a way to get it off.
Just to get this out here, I bought it like that.

Help decorating a room, funky 50′s theme??

Please help! Ok, so I’m redecorating my room soon, and I really want it to have a funky 50′s theme. I know it sounds weird, but I would love it if it felt like a diner, or maybe have some vinyl records on the wall. Maybe a jukebox thingy or something converse or a poodle skirt, lol. But I dont know what to do about the paint on my walls, or my bed, or anything. I also want to include weird things like a shoe phone and stuff, but i dont know where to get them. I would also like antique things. Any ideas? Please include pictures if you can, or describe it really well. Thank you very very much !!

PS: the room isnt very big, so dont say stuff like a 50′s car or something lol. thank you :)
those are great ideas!
thank you very much !!

What’s Wrong with Windmills Generators?

http://edition.cnn.com/2008/LIVING/wayoflife/08/17/bitter.wind.ap/index.html

The only issue I see with windmills are safety of birds.
Otherwise, I think they are beautiful.

Are people who hate wills prejudiced and being superfluous because:
1. Would they hate to visit the Netherlands in the earlier century?
2. Would they like the modern windmills to have an old windmill facade?
3. Would they like the modern windmill to play creaking sloshing sound recordings so they sound like old windmills?
4. Are they too gigantic to be pleasing to the eye?

I remember the old days when compact disk digital music first came out and there was similar superfluous critism from old vinyl lovers about the sound quality. So, we embedded circuitry into the players to reproduce the imperfections and defects of vinyl recording. I read about a study in which a group of vinyl lovers chose their beloved vinyl recording behind a wall which turned out to be a digital player. Today we also read of electric car makers having to put in a hi-fi system so that the car could reproduce a superfluous combustion engine revving sound.

Are windmill haters being superfluous?

I bet you that in coming generations, their children would be writing stories about childhood memories like “the reassuring sounds of the blades swishing as my childhood sweetheart and I sat and dipped our toes in the gentle flow of the gleaming stream and the trouts …”

Aren’t you people being plain superfluous?

Typo 1:
Title – Windmill Generators
First line, second paragraph after cnn reference – Are people who hate windmills prejudiced …
Hoping to have more negative comments about wind power.
Though I don’t agree with the opponents, I wish to understand their side (the dark side).
