Vinyl Record Worth

MCR fans! =] I think the guys are getting ready to record their new album VERY soon!…?

Okay, so if you’re like me, a complete My Chem dweeb, I think you all may have picked up a few hints… if not, well I think you would have still.. But now, I think it’s VERY close to when they start recording…

Why? Well, for one, Gerard just said (via twitter, which I am loving) that he’s heading to a recording studio… That was at 3pm Eastern today, and I’m guessing he’s in NJ by now… So I mean, besides that, they’ve all been like “oh yeah, we’re gonna start after the new year.” In all those interviews with Mikey and Gerard and Frank, I mean. =] So honestly, I think in the next 2 or 3 weeks, they’re gonna start writing.. maybe after the “Desolation Row” cover release.. I feel like a dork because I think I’m spitting out info you all know. Hahah

Oh! And the actualy Watchmen movie is coming out on time–which is a big woohoo because the trailer is just wow– which also means the cover is being released on time. Oh. Crap. Wait. I just realized… The LeATHERMOUTH album… hmm.. maybe they’re getting together after Frank and the dudes get that out. LeATHERMOUTH is annoying to write. Okay, I feel like a dork. Mahahha. What do you guys think!? (About when they’re gonna start recording, the movie, cold weather, etc. etc.)

Oh– and for everyone who wanted to buy the Bullets vinyl, it’s sold out =[.... but I'm sure it'll come back one time or another.

Poll: Do you like LeATHERMOUTH? In my opinion, they're a little too hardcore for me, but I think it's worth the money. Hahah

my brother is going into the recording buisness and he has some friends at some studios, and they apparently started pre-preoduction a couple days before new years. atleast thats what his friends said…

Meet the Beatles Vinyl Album?

I have an album that I bought at a record store for 15 bucks, and it has “lou” written on it and some other random things as well that are seeming to make it worth more. The lou is my main concern right now, and confusion. Would this be anything in particular? I’m just trying to figure out how much its value is worth.

Do older versions of records sound better than newer ones?

I’m looking to get a friend a vinyl record but don’t know anything about records. In particular, I noticed that the record that I want has a “2-eye” version and a “6-eye” version which differ quite a bit in terms of price. From what I’ve looked up, it seems that the ones with 6-eye labels were produced before the 2-eye ones, so maybe the fact that they’re older makes them more valuable.

My main question is…does this make a difference? I’m willing to spend the extra money to get the record with a 6-eye label if it’s worth it — better quality of sound or if you think a record collector would really appreciate the difference — but I have no clue whether this difference is meaningful at all. Any insight would be much appreciated!

I have been looking for a while, and can’t find what I am looking for?

Is there a web site where I can identify old vinyl records and what they are worth? I have dates on a few of them dating to 1946. I can’t find them when I put titles, numbers, company name, or anything. What is a good site for this that is free, and is there one at all?
I am not looking to sell, Ebay had nothing, and I am not contacting antique roadshow.

I’ve got a ton of vinyl, and I’m looking to sell some of it to make space. I would love to find a free reference online so I can get an estimate on how much some of it is worth. I’m not looking to make a fortune, but I also don’t want to easily part with something that could be worth some money. Anyone know of a good website reference? Or should I go to my local record store?
Perhaps I wasn’t very specific, does anyone know a good website where I can START pricing my vinyl? Somewhere I can type in the name of an album and get a rough estimate. I understand vinyl prices are the same price everywhere, but that doesn’t help me when I don’t know starting prices.

1.a woodstock poster signed by the guy who organized woodstock
2.the very first issue of rolling stone magazine
3.the rolling stone magazine of when jimi hendrix died
4.the rolling stone magazine of when jim morrison died
5.a beatles record that was only in stores for a couple hours, dont remember what its called
6.a hippie clear red vinyl bootleg of the beatles first songs (from before they were famous)

I have a record of The Animals “house of the rising sun”…. although my uncle got in in vietnam during the vietnam war and the writing on the case is written in vietmanese and translated to english.. and i dont think its even made of vinyl.. its made of some red material and u can see right through it.. its pretty cool.. its plays okay, could be better… how much is it worth about?

The record album is called a picturedisc, it’s vinyl, has a picture of lady and the tramp on it, no date, but it’s when the movie first came out, I’m just trying to find out how much it’s worth. Peggy Lee is the song artist ! Thank you, that’s all I can think of.

i’m not sure if i should get it, it’s a bit pricey, and i don’t have a turn table for vinyl records anyways. but i really love paramore, and it’s limited edition. should i get it, or just get the cd alone?

I have a Bob Dylan bootleg–how much is it worth?

I have come across a Bob Dylan bootleg on 12” vinyl which is from the early 60′s. It contains songs suchs as Rocks ‘N Gravel and Wichita Blues which’ve never been on any other Dylan records. Would it be worth anything? Thanks for answering
