Another Jimmie Rodgers song from his rarely heard albums. This was recorded using Final Vinyl, a free LP recording software developed by Griffin Technologies.

Fritz Wunderlich – Bach – Easter Oratorio – Sanfte soll mein Todeskummer (1958)

Happy Easter Sunday. This is from a from 1958 recording of Bach’s Easter Oratorio BWV 249. Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Marcel Couraud. *Painting is Raphael’s ‘The Resurrection of Christ’. Just realized this is a re-post; ‘operbathosa’ has posted the entire oratorio. Go to his channel to hear the original vinyl transfer in mono. My recording is from a remastering of the original, in stereo and with the clicks removed. The original vinyl recording has a warmer sound than this however.

Izotope RX is a comprehensive audio restoration program that can do anything from simple noise reduction to declipping, dehissing, and other de’s. Daliah Lavi – Black Paper Roses (Drei schwarze Rosen)

This tape was taken from an old vinyl-recording, so sorry for some scratches. It was originally performed by Cilla Black. It´s the story of an unloved child forgivin his mum. The lyrics´ very poetical and painful at the same time. And I had sorrow to my mind At the mother to her breast as still born child And of my nights I make black paper roses And to my afternoons I take fancy blues I loved the silver of your gold I loved the gentle of your day I loved the unexpected tender of your way I even loved the sudden winters of your may And of my nights I make black paper roses And to my afternoons I take fancy blues I watch and listen to their song Of how you loved me once But not for long Yet in your absence I would love you once again It helps to ease my mind and takes away the pain And of my nights I make black paper roses And to my afternoons I take fancy blues
